My name

Yes, that is how I spell my first name. Did you really think I would misspell my own name?
Yes, I know it is unusual.
How did it come about? I am named after my grandmother, Mildred, who is nicknamed Mike. I am told (by my father) that my mother insisted on the different spelling so that "I wouldn't be named after a Catholic saint". I haven't yet heard my mother's side of the story.
